How to file a claim

In the event of a theft of your bicycle due to the failure of our lock, please follow the below steps in order to start your claim.

• Report the theft to the police within 72 hours
• Mail notice of the theft to Bell Sports, Inc. within 7 days of the theft via certified mail
• Report the theft to your Insurance company
• Send the following to Bell Sports, Inc. within 30 days:
  1. Broken lock and/or broken links — required as proof of product failure. We recommend that you return the entire lock if available.
  2. At least one key
  3. Police report
  4. Evidence you have notified your insurance company, if covered

Bell Sports, Inc required proof of payment from your insurance company prior to paying your deductible. Failure to forward all materials within 30 days will nulify and voild your claim. Certified mail, returned receipt is recommended since Bell Sports, Inc. is not responsible for non-receipt of mail.
